Refund policy
A Note from the Artist:
I am incredibly humbled and honoured to have your love and support of my artwork. Whether you've purchased an Original, Custom Commission, Fine Art Print, or alike from my store, I will always do my absolute best to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase(s). If you are looking to Return, Refund or Exchange your Art piece, please understand that I will do whatever is in my power to treat each request with fairness, integrity, and consideration. It is important to me that we work as a team to make sure we can reach the best outcome during the process. Needless to say, I will not respond to any unkind treatment or abuse.
Please read below for instructions and more information regarding the Return, Refund, and/or Exchange processes:
Received Damaged Artwork
If your artwork has shown up damaged upon delivery, I am absolutely heartbroken! It is essential for you to contact me right away at theartist@samanthajeanart.ca. In your email, you will need to describe the damage done and send along photos so that I can file an insurance claim, ASAP. You may choose a new piece of equal or lessor value OR I can issue you a refund (less shipping charges). Please note that the refund may take up to 10 business day to process.
Note: If I have no evidence of the piece being damaged then I cannot take any further action on my end.
Returns and Exchanges
All Fine Art Prints and Custom Commission pieces are Final Sale.
If you have purchased an Original painting (that was not a custom piece or print) and you are unsatisfied, you can Return the painting for a Refund (minus shipping costs) or exchange the piece for another Original of equal or lessor value. Another option is to Return the piece without a Refund and instead, use the original purchase price (less shipping costs) toward a custom piece. Please begin either process my emailing me at theartist@samanthajeanart.ca.
If you would like to see how a painting might look in your space before purchasing please email me at theartist@samanthajeanart.ca so that we can arrange an appropriate solution.
Shipping your Original Artwork Returns:
You must package the painting in exactly the same fashion as it was when it arrived to you (you may reuse the packaging it came in, in fact, I encourage it as long as it is still capable of protecting the artwork!). Return shipping fees, like all shipping charges, are the customer’s responsibility. Once I have the painting in perfect condition, we can proceed with whichever option you chose above.
Note: Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Refunds
I will notify you once I’ve received and inspected your return. You’ll be refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
If more than 15 business days have passed since I’ve processed your return, please contact me at theartist@samanthajeanart.ca.
Feedback
Although I have great success in customer/client satisfaction, I understand my art is not to everyone's taste. In an effort to make sure I am doing all that I can to make everyone feel valued and heard, I would like to extend an invitation for any feedback about this process you may have. If you would like to voice your comments, concerns, or compliments (always much appreciated!), please feel free to express those at theartist@samanthajeanart.ca.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, you will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
